The Galaxy s4

Since no one seems to be talking about phones anymore, I thought I should be the first to start the rumor mill about the galaxy s4. I like referring to it as the fourth generation Samsung galaxy device. It feels good, much like getting the first comment on a YouTube video that goes viral lol. The rumors are finally rolling in and seemingly in 2013, we might just see the phone that blows everyone away. The galaxy s4 will turn out to be Samsung’s best-selling phone and with the rumored specs, no other manufacturer will be able to compete. I know some iPhone lovers may want to disagree with me but all disdain aside, the galaxy s4 will generate the most debate online, much more than the iPhone 5S will be able to garner.

Samsung has managed to manufacture full HD super AMOLED screens at 4.99 inches which translates to a whopping 441 PPI (pixel s per inch). Comparing this to the retina display found on iPhones, it represents a more than 30% increase in pixel density. AMOLED which is an acronym for Active Matrix Organic Light Emitting Diode, according to me, is the most fulfilling display technology. LCD has been around for a while and is considered more advanced than AMOLED. If you are familiar with super AMOLED screens you know how cool this screens look, I mean the color saturation is out of this world, the contrast ratio is the best to say the least. The only drawback when it comes to AMOLED screens is the brightness level, some people go a step further to complain that the colors don’t look natural blah blah. No matter what they say, AMOLED screens look way better than any LCD screen out there. With the release of full HD AMOLED screens, it means that the only good thing about LCD screens is that they can be made a bit brighter.

With this leap in technology, many people including me, hope to see this screen size fitted in the galaxy S3 form factor. This is possible with a little engineering. The engineers at Samsung, of which I hope to join some time, I am sure will be able to achieve this feat. The galaxy s4 will definitely have a 13 mega pixel camera, a quad core processor(probably a new architecture), 2 gigs of ram(maybe even 3), a full HD super AMOLED display (which will be the selling point) and a ton of other features. I don’t know how Samsung will choose to price this more than capable smartphone, but it will definitely be the phone to have. With more pixels than any human eye can distinguish, 2013, is the year that Samsung will take over the smartphone industry. I also hope to see OLED television sets. If I am not wrong, Samsung already have a 55inch OLED display television set which hopefully will go on sale in 2013. The next thing, which is just a proposal to Samsung, please manufacture 13-14-15 inch AMOLED screens with Full HD resolution which you can use on your laptops. I know it may be expensive to do so, but I am sure this is the way to go. For now, lets wait and see hoe much of this comes to pass.
